Diarmuid Twomey

Diarmuid is a senior executive with 18 years’ experience in the renewable energy sector globally. He holds a Primary Degree in Commerce & Finance from UCC & a MSc in Project Management from Smurfit UCD. He previously worked as a Senior Project Manager/Director with Airtricity SSE and Mainstream Renewable Power in Europe, Africa and Asia where he led the development of a large portfolio of wind farm projects from inception to commercial operation. He additionally has 9 years’ experience in large scale mergers & acquisitions of RE assets in Europe, Africa, and Asia.

Diarmuid is a seasoned entrepreneur having established Empower Renewables in 2015 which developed and sold 900 MW of wind farm assets in Northern Europe.
