Forest BW tender won – milestone for Baden-Württemberg

A great success for Galileo Neue Energie: The company prevailed against several contenders in a competitive and transparent tender process run by ForstBW and secured the area in the state forest in the Loßburg municipality for the development of a new wind farm. Galileo plans to build modern wind turbines on around 290 hectares of state forest that will provide clean energy for the region and make a significant contribution to the regional energy transition.

The areas gained are located in the designated wind priority areas WF12 and WF17 of the Northern Black Forest regional association in the Freudenstadt district. The fact that Galileo was able to win this tender shows the company’s strong position in the market and its ability to implement even demanding projects on State-owned areas. “This tender is an important milestone as it reflects not only our technical know-how, but also our commitment to sustainable project development,” emphasizes Alan Drew, Managing Director of Galileo Neue Energie.

In addition to planning the wind turbines, Galileo attaches great importance to environmental sustainability. Comprehensive nature and species protection reports are an integral part of project development in order to protect flora and fauna. In addition, the company relies on close cooperation with local stakeholders to ensure broad acceptance and active citizen participation.
